| ARLINGTON EMERGENCY CALL CENTER
Arlington, VA The Arlington ECC is an emergency operations center to the Arlington Police Department. The facility is the new 911 center and features re-use of an existing floor of the police department building. The design challenges of the space included confidential level of privacy between a glass conference room overlooking the dispatch floor, very limited floor-to-ceiling height, and workstation density in terms of speech privacy between dispatch desks. The design included a highly-absorptive ceiling with undulating curved perforated metal panels, wall treatments on available surfaces, and the use of fabric duct for quiet air distribution.
