The Principals of Bernhard Shipps and Associates have provided acoustical
design services for the following university projects:
Penn State University - Information Sciences and Technology
Building
 |
A 200,000 square foot
state-of-the art technology center and classroom facility. The entire
building houses wireless and wired technology, classrooms, research
laboratories, Dean's offices, cafe spaces, and a Cybertorium. The only
building of its kind to span Atherton Street in State College thereby
linking the East and West campuses, required special sound attenuating
exterior construction due to traffic noise. Stringent noise criterion
for classrooms also required attention to mechanical system design. |
